Amla Taza (fresh goose berry) 1 kg; Qand Safed (sugar) 2 kg; Aab (water) quantity sufficient
Boil gooseberries in water till soft, then remove and dry. Boil sugar and water on medium flame till a concentrated syrup (Qiwam) forms, then add the dried gooseberries to preserve them. Serving: 1-2 pieces after washing with water, preferably in the morning.
